The economic crisis has claimed the small car rental business that I have poured in blood, sweat and tears. Though all cars were fully paid for, the nose dive decrease in demand led to a business that was operating on losses. So in order to cut back on the losses, I had to close down and decide to re-open once the conditions become more stable.
This hibernation period afforded me the time to do the necessary full repairs and overhauls on each member of my fleet. It also made me realize that my ‘backyard turned garage’ part of my residence was way too small for my fleet. This meant I had to dispose of a couple of cars to afford just enough space that I needed. While parking them somewhere else would have been a practical decision, our community civic group talked me into considering Car Donations as an option.
To mitigate the entire costs, the civic group accounted for 50% of the car’s value and the rest was all up to my goodwill. I came to know that the group already has tapped Boat Donations and even whopping House Donations that accounts for the many charities they have helped over the years and are now paying back good fortune to each of them.
